Is entering the serial number during an upgrade of Studio for InDesign and InCopy required?

When installing an update of Studio for InDesign and InCopy by running the installer, there should be no need to re-enter the serial number.

However, the following exceptions exist:

• When installing a major upgrade that requires a new license.
• If you have purchased an upgrade serial number, in which case you will be prompted to enter the serial number of the previous version.
