Working with Studio for InDesign and InCopy essentially involves working with two systems:
- The Studio for InDesign and InCopy plug-ins in InDesign and InCopy. These give you the tools to work on layouts and articles.
- The Studio Server platform. This provides the workflow environment and access to the files.
The files that you work on are stored in specific locations, have a different status depending on their position in the workflow, will be worked on by others, can be managed in specific ways, and much more.
When working with Studio for InDesign and InCopy therefore, it is essential to be familiar with the Studio concept and its terminology and way of working.
