Sonoma and Adobe
When a major version of InDesign is released, the system requirements of Adobe do not include the latest macOS version. This macOS version is usually released in September and is not included in the general regression tests done by Adobe.
When InDesign 18.0 was launched, it did not include support on macOS 13 Ventura. The same is happening now, with the launch of InDesign 19.0 (CC 2024). According to Adobe’s website, macOS 14 Sonoma is not yet supported. Typically, in one of the early minor releases (likely 19.1 or 19.2), Adobe will likely silently add support for the latest macOS. Somewhere in Q2 2024, we anticipate support for macOS 14 Sonoma to be added by Adobe.
