The AI Assistant in the Print editor of Studio helps users optimize their articles by using predefined AI-powered actions, such as revising tone, shortening or expanding text, and generating titles.
This article explains how to set up the AI Assistant.
Note: For information about how Artificial Intelligence is used in Studio, see AI functionality in WoodWing Studio: transparency & security.
Requirements
Using the AI Assistant requires the following:
- The 'Ultimate' package in WoodWing Cloud1
- WoodWing Studio 11.222 or higher in WoodWing Cloud
- The Print editor in Studio
- An internet connection
1 Customers on the Ultimate package of WoodWing Cloud receive a monthly allowance of AI prompts (tokens). These prompts are shared across the organization and are consumed each time an AI action is performed.
Once the monthly allowance is reached, any additional AI usage must be purchased by the organization to continue using the feature.
The AI Assistant is shared with the Digital editor
The AI Assistant and its prompts is shared between the Print editor and the Digital editor.
Any prompts that are configured are therefore available in both the Print editor and the Digital editor.
Requesting access
The AI Assistant is available as a panel in the Print editor of Studio which is available to all users. However, only users of customers for which the functionality has been enabled can actually use the panel.
Unlocking the panel functionality can be requested by contacting WoodWing Customer Success. WoodWing will then configure the Studio environment (including enabling analytics) and enable the functionality of the AI Assistant panel.
Using the AI Assistant panel
Once the setup is completed, Customer Success will inform you that the AI Assistant in the Print editor is ready for use.
Managing prompts
The AI Assistant comes with several generic prompts, grouped in the panel under 'Edit' and 'Create' (see Optimizing an article by using the AI Assistant in the Print editor of Studio).
It is likely that you want to add additional prompts to these groups or hide them, and add custom prompts that are specific to the workflow for your publications. For details, see Managing prompts for the AI Assistant of the Print editor in Studio.
AI prompts and messages
Each action is an AI prompt. Each generated result is a 'message'. The following limitations exist:
- 2000 AI prompts per month per server
