Invalid file name characters in Assets Server

When a file is created in Assets Server, its name may not contain any of the following characters:

\ / : * ? " < > | # ;

This means that when uploading a file, creating a Collection, creating a Shared Link, and so on, the invalid character is either automatically removed or you are prevented from adding that character manually.

Note: Configuring the list of invalid characters is not possible.

Integration with Studio Server

Files that are stored in Assets Server can also be added to Studio Server.

However, more characters are considered to be invalid in Studio Server than in Assets Server. When a file is added from Assets Server to Studio Server therefore, the name of the file in Assets Server is adjusted by removing those characters that are invalid in Studio Server.
