When placing images in a Digital article (for example by dragging it onto a media component), the images could come from various locations: Studio Server, Assets Server, the local system, and so on.
When working on an article for a publication which requires images to always be stored in Assets Server (perhaps because additional processing is done in the background that is only performed on images that are stored in that location), the user should be prevented from placing images that are stored in locations other than Assets Server.
This can be done by enabling the following feature on the Features page in the Management Console of Studio:
- Images have to be stored in Assets Server
Alternatively, it can be configured in a configuration file of Studio Server.
For more information, see Configuring Studio.
When the option is enabled, users will be prevented from placing images that are not stored in Assets Server. When they try to do so, a message will be shown to inform them about this.
