The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • In the log on flow, the logon ticket is no longer included in the ContentStationSdk.getInfo() call. As part of the introduction of cookie-based authentication in Enterprise Server 10.2 and support for Single Sign-On (SSO) in Enterprise Server 10.7, the API call 'ContentStationSdk.getInfo()' now no longer returns the logon ticket in the returned object. The ContentStation SDK already mentioned that the ticket was no longer available for Enterprise Server 10.7 and higher but the regular log on flow still returned the ticket, even for version 10.7 and higher. This has now been corrected.
  • References of 'Print article' in French have been changed to 'InCopy article'. To avoid confusion with the verb 'print', references in the UI of 'Print article' in French have been changed to 'InCopy article'.

CSH-9077 Print editor: Local character format ranges get extended when editing with Hidden characters displayed.

CSH-9430 References of 'Print article' are incorrectly translated in French.

CSH-9590 Print editor: When editing text with a local override in a paragraph style applied, all text in the paragraph is styled as the local override.

CSH-9598 Digital editor: When converting a Body component with a drop-cap into an Intro component, the drop-cap attribute data is still present in the Intro component.

CSH-9601 The Sign In dialog appears when logging in using multiple tabs and clicking the Refresh button.

CSH-9606 The list of templates in the Create a new layout dialog does not show all available templates.

CSH-9607 Print editor: When creating an article and editing text, error 'Adding or removing a component has changed the layout information. No preview can therefore be generated. The Layout preview has been closed.' appears.

CSH-9609 Digital editor: When using the 'Apply component properties' option for a Container, the 'Layout overrides' settings are not applied correctly.

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • 'Right indent tab' and 'normal space' operators have been added to Conversion Rules. When Creating a print variant of a Digital article, Conversion Rules need to be set up. In them, the components of the Digital article are mapped to the components of the Print article. When text from multiple Digital article components is combined into a single Print article component, a separator can be added between the text of the different components. The often used operators 'right indent tab' and 'normal space' have now been added to the list of available operators.

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • Studio now encodes some of the data in the local storage of the Web browser to optimize space usage. The data that Studio stores in the local storage of the Web browser is now partly encoded which considerably reduces the size of the stored data. This reduces the probability of the browser running out of space in its local storage, which would negatively affect the performance of Studio.
  • Customization: The color of the Checked-out files icon and the Inbox icon in the header is now also customizable. When customizing Studio to match it with the colors of your brand, the color of the Checked-out files icon and the Inbox icon in the header can now also be customized
  • Digital editor: Toolbar now disappears when typing in a component holding text to prevent obscuring text. When typing in a component that holds text, a toolbar appears over the component. With it, actions can be performed such as moving or deleting the component. Because of the position of the toolbar, underlying text can be obscured. To prevent this from happening, the toolbar now disappears when typing in a component that holds text. It appears again when moving the mouse.

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

The Sign In page with a customized header

  • Branding: A message is now shown when an incorrect color value is entered. When customizing the branding of Studio, colors are specified by entering a hexadecimal code. When a value is entered that does not represent such a code, a message is now shown.

When an incorrect hex value for a color is entered on the Branding page, a message is now shown.

  • Digital articles created in a newer version of the Digital editor can now be opened and a message is now shown. When new functionality is added to the Digital editor such as support for character styles or comments, the format in which the article is stored is updated to support this functionality. As a result, previous versions of the Digital editor are unable to read this new format. Opening such an article in previous versions of Studio was therefore not possible.

Now, Digital articles created in a newer version of the Digital editor can be opened. In addition, a message is now shown to inform the user that opening the article might result in lost content.

Users can decide to open the article and continue working in it; it might be that the new functionality was not used in that particular article and no content was lost. However, if after opening it is noticed that content is missing, the article can be restored to its previous version.

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • Digital editor: Improved character, word, and paragraph count. To give a better insight into the number of characters, words, and paragraphs in an article, the following has been added:
  • Character, word, and paragraph count for a selection of text or for multiple text components.
  • A label in front of the counter showing the name of the currently active component, or 'Selection' when multiple components or a section of text is selected.

  • Branding: Customizing the header of Studio can now be done via the Management Console. Customizing the header of Studio can now be done via the newly added Branding page in the Management Console of Studio. This makes this process more accessible and visual. In previous versions, this was done by configuring the config.js file on the server which required direct access to that server.

  • Digital articles: Change in the way components are mapped for automatic conversion. Studio 11.124 introduces a fix for automatically converting Digital article components. In previous versions, matching was done based on the directive type instead of the id type. This behavior is incorrect as it leads to issues when multiple directives of the same type exist. It also does not match the intent with which the auto conversion rule was designed.

As part of the fix, the conversion rules of the default Component set have been updated, thereby simplifying the process of updating the default Component set.

Before updating to a new version of Studio, all active Component sets need to be updated when you have one or multiple custom Component sets and you make use of the component conversion tools.

Note: When Component sets are not updated, the conversion behavior will change for various components.

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • Digital editor: Publishing one or more Digital articles to one or more publication channels in one action. One or more Digital articles can now be simultaneously published to one or more Publication channels (a feature also known as 'bulk publishing'). In previous versions, only one article could be published to one channel at a time.

Up to 300 articles can be published simultaneously to 5 different Publications channels plus one e-mail address.

This feature now also makes it possible to publish to channels such as eMags which makes use of a process in which multiple articles are published in one action.

It works as follows:

Step 1. Do one of the following:

  • Select a Digital article or a group of files containing Digital articles, right-click any of the files and choose Publish from the context menu.
  • Open an article in the Digital editor and click Publish.

Step 2. In the dialog that appears, select the channels to which the articles should be published, optionally enter an e-mail address, and click Publish.

Notes:

  • When multiple files are selected, any files that are not Digital articles are automatically ignored.
  • The Publish command in the context menu is disabled when multiple files of more than one Brand are selected.
  • The last made selection by a user is remembered and set the next time the Publish dialog is opened by that user.
  • After publishing, a notification is shown indicating if the publishing process was successful. This only applies to the process in Studio; the success of the process in the Publication channel itself cannot be verified by Studio.
  • Digital editor plug-ins: The order in which the plug-in buttons in the Digital editor are shown can now be set. When creating plug-ins for the Digital editor, the order in which the plug-in buttons appear can now be set through the 'order' option that has been added to the addToolbarButton SDK API. Plug-ins with a lower number will be placed before plug-ins with a higher number.

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • Print editor: New keyboard shortcut for refreshing the layout preview. The keyboard shortcut for refreshing the layout preview in the Print editor has changed from Shift+Spacebar to Shift+Ctrl+P for Windows and Shift+Cmd+P for macOS.

This prevents the layout preview to be accidentally triggered for users who keep the spacebar pressed while typing.

Note: The new keyboard shortcuts are not available on Firefox; for this browser, Shift+Spacebar continues to work.

  • Various Digital editor SDK plug-ins have been marked as deprecated. In preparation for an upcoming change in functionality to improve performance and development, the following Digital Editor global SDK plug-ins have been marked as deprecated:
  • addSidebarPanel
  • addToolbarButton
  • createFullscreenDialog

These plug-ins have been moved to be part of the SDKArticle API and will be removed after September 1, 2023.

Note: An instance of the SDKArticle API is received through the global Digital Editor SDK 'onOpenArticle'.

When making use of these plug-ins, adapt your usage accordingly.

  • Digital Editor SDK plug-ins are now also loaded in the main Studio window. In preparation for future functionality, SDK plug-ins for the Digital editor are now also loaded one time in the main Studio window when first starting the application. As in previous versions, they are also still loaded each time the Digital editor is opened.

  • Print editor: Articles opened for editing can now be kept checked-out until they are closed. When an article is opened for editing and no changes are made to the article for a relatively long period of time, the article is by default automatically checked-in so that it is available for other users to edit. In scenarios such as a review process in which long periods of inactivity occur, having the article automatically checked in is not desired. For these scenarios, Studio can now be configured to keep the article checked out as long as it is opened.

This can be done in the Management Console on the Features page by enabling the following option:

  • Print editor > Keep the article checked-out as long as it is opened

This feature is disabled by default.

The following has been added in this release of Studio:

  • Print editor: Keyboard shortcut for refreshing the Layout preview. When a Print article is placed on a layout, the Layout preview in the Print editor shows a preview of how that article looks on that layout. By default, this preview is automatically updated when the article is saved or 1 second after the user stops typing.

When users make many changes that need to be checked quickly, the 1 second delay may not be quick enough. The following keyboard shortcut has therefore now been added with which the update of the Layout preview can be triggered immediately:

  • Shift+Spacebar

Changes

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • Option added for disabling the uploading of files through the Digital editor. One of the ways of uploading a file to a Digital article is by dropping the file onto a Media component or onto the Attachments panel, or by browsing to the file by using the Browse button of the Attachments panel.

During this process, the file is directly added to the system. However, if the file contains metadata fields that are mandatory to fill in, the user is not prompted to add the required information.

As a result, such files end up in the system with incomplete metadata.

To prevent this from happening, the process of uploading files through the Digital editor can be now disabled by enabling the following feature on the Features page in the Management Console of Studio:

  • Disable uploading files

When enabled:

  • The Browse button in the upload section of the Attachments panel is removed.
  • Local files cannot be uploaded by dragging them onto article components or onto the Attachments panel. When users try to do so, a notification is shown.

Notes:

  • This is a temporary solution; in a future version the upload process will be updated so that users are prompted to fill in required metadata fields.
  • Files from the following locations can still be added to a component:
  • Files that are already part of Studio (such as those in the Attachments panel)
  • Files from Assets

The following has been added in this release of Studio:

  • Improving the process of uploading files by making use of the Electron.NET library. When a file is checked out for editing outside of Studio, the preferred way of checking in the edited file is by making use of Google Chrome and the Desktop application. During this process, the file is uploaded to Studio Server.

To do this, the Desktop application uses the HTTP/HTTPS libraries from Node.js.

However, when the upload is done over a secure (HTTPS) connection, the required certificate is checked differently by the HTTPS library than by the Chrome browser. It may happen therefore that a certificate is valid from a Chrome browser point of view, but not from the view of the HTTPS library. As result, the upload can fail.

To overcome this, the Desktop application can instead make use of the Electron.NET library. Using this library offers the following advantages:

  • Custom SSL certificates can be used.
  • The proxy settings of the operating system are respected.
  • File uploads are faster and more reliable.

Enabling the use of the Electron.NET library by the Desktop app can be done by setting the following option in the config_overrule.php file of the server on which Studio is installed:

define( 'STUDIO_DESKTOP_APP_ELECTRON_NET_ENABLED', true );

Note: The Electron.NET library comes with chunk uploading. This needs to be supported by your web server.

Changes

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • Managing the server name for opening InCopy articles or InDesign layouts can now be done in the Management Console. Articles and layouts can be automatically opened in InCopy and InDesign by using the Studio Desktop app. To make this work, the Desktop app needs to connect to the instance of the server on which these files are stored. For this, the server name needs to be defined in Studio.

This can now be done on the Features page of the Management Console by entering the name in the newly added Server Name field.

The previous method of defining it in the config.js file of Studio can also still be used, but managing the configuration via the Management Console is quicker and more user friendly.

  • Placing articles on layouts: improved indication that articles cannot be placed. When a layout that is locked by another user is opened in fullscreen view, a lock icon and a gray border is now shown in each frame to indicate that no article can be placed in these frames. This replaces the thin red border that was used in previous versions.
  • User behavior tracking using Amplitude has been removed. The amplitudeId option for configuring user behavior tracking via Amplitude that was set to deprecated in Studio 11.105 has now been removed from the config.js file of Studio. User tracking is now solely done by using Mixpanel and can be controlled through the Management Console. For more information about this feature, see User behavior tracking in Studio.

When upgrading from a previous version in which the 'CS_DIGITAL_EDITOR_ENABLED' was set, this configuration can therefore now be removed. For more information, see Upgrading an existing installation of Studio.

  • Digital to print: Dragging a Digital article onto a placed Print article now replaces the article instead of creating a new Print article. When a Digital article is dragged on top of a Print article on a layout, the content of the Print article is now replaced by the content of the Digital article. In previous versions, a new Print article was created.

This new method makes it easier to track the changes of the Print article and prevents the creation of too many files.

  • Planned images are now replaced via the 'Replace Planned image' command. Planned images are temporary files that act as placeholders on a layout when the actual image is not yet available. They are created by using Studio for InDesign and although they act and behave as images in the system, they do not contain any content. Replacing a Planned image by the original image in Studio is now done by using the 'Replace Planned image' command in the context menu of the file. In previous versions, Planned images could be replaced via the check-out method but for this to work the Desktop app could not be used.

  • User behavior monitoring is switching from Amplitude to MixPanel. To constantly improve the usability of our products, direct insights into usage of the products is required. This is done by anonymously tracking the usage of Studio, compliant with GPDR legislation. This tracking is now switching to Mixpanel. The data is stored in the EU (see also their GDPR compliance). Tracking via Mixpanel is enabled by default and can be disabled via the newly added 'Enable analytics' option on the Features page in the Management Console.

  • Managing the Apps menu via the Management Console. Apps that appear in the Apps menu (such as the default Apps Publication Overview, Issue Manager, and Trash Can, as well as custom Apps) can now be managed via the newly added Apps menu page in the Management Console.

Using this page, custom Apps can be added and settings for Apps can be controlled such as whether or not they appear in the menu and if they should open in a new Web browser tab.

The previous configuration via the config.js file is still available, but managing the configuration via the Management Console is quicker and more user friendly.

Note that once managing the Apps menu is done through the Management Console, any configuration settings in the config.js file are ignored.

  • Keyboard shortcuts: Cmd/Ctrl+D removed. The keyboard shortcut Cmd+D (macOS) and Ctrl+D (Windows) which was used for moving files to the Trash Can has been removed because it conflicted with bookmarking pages in a Web browser.
  • Publication Overview: Improved display of pages. The display of pages has been improved by better detecting their aspect ratio. This especially improves the display of pages in landscape orientation and pages that are all of the same size.

This applies to the following scenarios:

  1. When an Issue consists of only landscape pages, pages are now adjusted to their page size. When the pages are of mixed sizes, they are now shown in the aspect ratio of the largest page size. (In previous versions, pages were displayed in an object of a fixed size in portrait orientation.)

When an Issue consists of a mix of portrait and landscape pages, pages are displayed in portrait orientation and the landscape pages are now scaled according to the largest portrait page size aspect ratio. (In previous versions, the default page size aspect ratio was set to Letter size. This resulted in a mix of page sizes and thumbnail scaling within a fixed Letter sized aspect ratio.)

When it is spotted that an article, image, or Dossier still needs work, these can now be quickly opened by double-clicking them in the Linked Files panel of the Publication Overview. The file is then opened in the current tab, in InCopy, or in its external editor, depending on the type of file and the way Studio is configured.

  • Publication Overview: Viewing all pages that contain Sticky Notes that still need action. The Publication Overview is used for monitoring the progress of a publication. One of the ways of keeping track of tasks that still need to be completed is through the use of Sticky Notes.

Sticky Notes that still need action are those with status None or Accepted.

Pages of a publication that contain Sticky Notes that have a status of None or Accepted can now be quickly identified by clicking the Sticky Notes icon at the top of the screen.

Pages that do not contain Sticky Notes with status None or Accepted are then dimmed. The total number of pages that do contain Sticky Notes with status None or Accepted is shown in the Status bar at the bottom of the screen.

  • Layout fullscreen preview: changes to accessing objects placed on top of each other. For layouts containing objects that are (partly) placed on top of each other, the following improvements have been made to prevent the topmost object from blocking underlying objects (which would prevent users from accessing the action menu for that object or prevent users from placing an article in that frame):
  • Smaller objects are placed above larger objects so that they are not obscured. When hovering the mouse pointer over the object, it becomes active and the toolbar for performing actions on that object appears.
  • When objects are identical in size and placed on top of each other, the top-most object can be hidden by Alt+clicking it. Hidden objects can be shown again by left-clicking anywhere outside of the object, or by closing and opening the layout preview.

Example: Frames A, B, and C are identical in size and placed on top of each other. When Alt+clicking frame A, frame A is hidden and frame B is shown. When next Alt+clicking frame B, frame B is hidden and frame C is shown. When left-clicking outside of the frame, all frames are loaded again with frame A at the top.

  • The action menu is now shown inside the top left corner of the frame to better indicate to which frame the menu belongs.
  • When placing an article in a frame, the opacity of the frame does not change anymore to better indicate which frame is targeted.

The following has been added in this release of Studio:

  • Desktop app: Automatically downloading and installing updates. The Desktop application is used for setting up the communication between Studio and other applications and for controlling some of the features of the Desktop app itself. When a new version of the Desktop app is available, this newer version can now be automatically downloaded and installed.

This process is managed in the Updates window of the Desktop app:

It shows the following: 

  • The version number of the currently installed version.
  • The version number of the new version when that is available, else a message stating that the Desktop app is up-to-date.
  • An 'Update now' button which is available when the option 'Update automatically' is not selected and an update is available. In this configuration the process of downloading and installing the new version has to be manually started by clicking the 'Update now' button.
  • An 'Update automatically' option. When selected and a new version is available, the new version is automatically downloaded and installed when the Updates window is accessed.

The availability of the Updates window is controlled through the following setting in the Management Console of Studio:

Features > Desktop app > Enable automatic updates

By default, the option is enabled (meaning: the Updates window is available for users to update their Desktop app with). When disabled, the Updates window does not appear; the process of downloading and installing any available updates needs to be done manually outside of the Desktop app.

  • Desktop app: silent installation on Windows. The Desktop application can now also be installed silently on Windows by using the following command:

  • The Desktop app has been renamed. The Desktop app has been renamed from the 'Content Station Desktop app' to the 'Studio Desktop app'. When upgrading a system on which the previous Content Station Desktop app is installed, remove that version.
  • Digital editor: Component Set properties with dataType 'data' and using a control with type 'select' are not converted to null anymore. In previous versions, when a property was defined with dataType: "data" and a control with type select was used, it was possible that the select UI would set the data value to a value that did not match the definition.

  • Print editor: showing hyperlink text. When viewing a Print article in Studio, any hyperlinks in the text are represented as icons and not as readable or editable text. As a result, the text of the hyperlink is hidden which impacts reading the full text and writing the correct text that comes before and after the link. To improve this, the text of the hyperlink can now be viewed in a tooltip by hovering the mouse pointer over the icon.

  • Digital editor: copying, cutting, and pasting components using keyboard shortcuts. Components or the content of components can now be copied, cut, and pasted by using keyboard shortcuts:
  • Windows: Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V
  • macOS: Cmd+C, Cmd+x, and Cmd+V

These shortcuts can also be used for copying and cutting components from another Digital article that is opened.

Text can be copied or cut by:

  • Placing the text cursor inside a component without selecting any text. The whole component is then copied or cut.
  • Selecting some text or selecting one or more components. The text or components are then copied or cut.

Text can be pasted by:

  • Placing the text cursor in some text.
  • Hovering the mouse pointer over an area between 2 components so that the +-button for adding a component appears.
  • Opening the Component window for adding a new component.

The copied content is then pasted at that position. When the text cursor is placed in the middle of some text, that component is then split into two components and the content is added between them.

  • Digital editor: Options for copying components from the Device preview removed. As a result of the added functionality of copying and pasting components in an article by using keyboard shortcuts, the functionality of copying components from the Device viewer (accessed by clicking Preview in the Digital editor) has been removed.
  • Digital editor: Minor improvements to the Component selector. Adding a component to a Digital article is done by hovering the mouse pointer over an area to make a +-button appear. When clicking the button, a window appears from which components can be selected. The following improvements to these have been made:
  • Minor design changes, including for tooltips.
  • Performance improvements.
  • Useability improvements, including the addition of a horizontal scrollbar when more groups exist than can be shown. Also, when hovering over the +-button in a Container, any Container labels now stay visible.
  • Digital editor: Social media links are now validated on pasting. When adding a Social media component, the link is now directly validated when it is pasted into the field. In previous versions, the validation took place when clicking the button to add the component to the article.
  • Publication Overview: Edition filter turned into a drop-down list. The Edition list in the filter of the Publication Overview has been changed from a list showing all Editions to a drop-down list from which the Edition can be chosen. This improves the working of the filter, especially when many Editions exist. The list uses type-ahead to quickly find an Edition by typing part of its name.

  • Print variants: assigning a Conversion Rule to a Brand while duplicating it. When a Conversion Rule is duplicated, it can now be automatically assigned to a Brand. This way, a Conversion Rule that already exists for one Brand can be quickly used as the basis for a new rule in another Brand.

  • Digital editor: selecting multiple components. When working on a Digital article, it is now possible to select multiple components and move or delete them in one action (performing other actions such as changing the properties or applying styling is not yet possible).

Selecting multiple components can be done by doing one of the following:

  • To select individual components: select one component and click another component while holding down Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (macOS).
  • To select a range of components: select one component and click another component while holding down Shift.
  • With at least one component selected, press Shift+Up Arrow or Shift+Down Arrow.
  • Use a combination of the above mentioned methods.
  • Digital editor: improved selection states. Components that are selected can now be better recognized by the following:
  • For a single component that does not contain text: a blue border that surrounds the component.
  • For multiple selected components: a blue fill for all components except Container components and components that contain video, social media, or embedded content; these will have a blue border.

  • Checking out files without opening them for editing. In some scenarios, users will be working on multiple files such as images. Instead of opening them all at once for editing, files can now also be checked out without opening them. This is done by right-clicking a file and choosing Check out only. This way the files are locked, thereby making it possible for users to work on them one-by-one while preventing other users from editing them.

  • Opening files as read-only. Files can now be opened as read-only so that they can be safely viewed without the risk of making unwanted changes and without locking the article so that other users are not delayed in making their changes.

No features have been added in this release of Studio.

Changes

The following changes have been made in this release of Studio:

  • Double-clicking a checked-out file now opens that file. In previous versions, when a user checked-out a file for editing in an external application, closed that file and double-clicked it again in Studio, nothing happened. When such a checked-out file is now double-clicked, the file is opened.

Note: This requires the Desktop application 3.0.9 or higher.

  • Digital editor: list of preview devices updated. When editing a Digital article, the article can be previewed in the dimensions of the devices on which it is going to be published. The list of available devices has been updated.

  • Dossier templates: layouts now also get an Issue assigned. When instantiating a Dossier from a template, layouts now also get an Issue assigned. In previous versions, layouts in a Dossier did not get an Issue assigned when the Dossier was instantiated. As a result, such layouts were hard to find in the system and also did not appear in the Publication Overview. Now, such layouts get the first Issue of the Dossier assigned.
  • Publication Overview: searching for an Issue. This can now be done by typing the name in the list. The list is subsequently filtered on any matching names.

  • Tasks: (Applies to Safari only) When right-clicking a file in a Dossier and choosing 'Add to Task', the list of available Tasks does not appear.
  • Print editor: Hidden characters are not shown for empty paragraphs when using Firefox or Microsoft Edge.
  • CSH-7626 Print editor: When checking out an article, a query requesting all objects is performed. When an article is checked-out in the Print editor, a notification appears after a few seconds showing the results of a query in which all objects are requested. After a while, the notification disappears again.

Fixed issues

CSH-6830 Layout preview disappears when zooming out to minimum level.

CSH-7072 Methods of filtering Issue lists is not consistent.

  • Dossiers. When creating a Dossier based on a template, the list of templates can now be filtered by first choosing the Brand to which the templates belong. This reduces the number of templates to choose from and is especially useful when users have access to many Brands.

  • Digital articles. When creating a custom Publication Channel, the option to first choose a channel type has been removed. This is a result of dropping the support for Apple News and Adobe AEM in previous versions; because only one channel type is now supported, the list has become superflous.

  • Support for instantiating Dossier templates. Dossier templates can now be instantiated and thereby used as a basis for creating a new Dossier. This way, users can quickly start working on a story by creating a new Dossier containing all files relevant to that story and containing the correct styling, objects, and components, and with all properties correctly set.

The following has been added in this release of Studio:

  • Support for Dossier templates. Creating a story for a publication typically starts by creating a Dossier and adding the necessary files such as an article and layout containing the correct components and styling, Tasks, and so on. The properties of all these files also have to be correctly set such as the Brand, Issue, Workflow Status, and so on. Instead of manually creating Dossiers and their content, Dossier templates can now be set up on which a new Dossier can be based.

Note: This feature is currently limited to creating Dossier templates and viewing their content only. Instantiating Dossier templates will be added in a future release.

  • Print editor: API calls for the table editor. The following API calls are now also available for the table editor:
  • getTextsInTable. Gets the table text per table cell.
  • selectTextInCell. Selects text in the table cell.
  • replaceTextInCell. Replaces text in a given selection with replacement text.
  • getTableGuid. Returns the table GUID.
  • getTableDimensions. Returns the row, column, and cell count.

  • Print editor: applying paragraph styles in tables. Support has been added for applying paragraph styles to text in tables.
  • Print editor: a comment is shown when opening an article. When a Print article is opened that contains a comment in the Comment field, this comment is now shown as a notification. The notification stays open until it is closed by the user.

A comment is shown when opening a Print article with a comment.

  • Digital editor panels: When a panel was created using the SDK, the panel continuously refreshed when the location of the iframe window inside the panel was set. Setting the location is now a supported operation and no longer causes the panel to refresh.
  • Uploading files: additional labels added. In the dialog for uploading files, the 'Route To' and 'Status' fields are now labeled so that their purpose is clearer.

Changes

Studio 11.65 is based on Content Station 11.64 and is technically the same. Apart from re-branding it by changing logos and product name references at various places, no changes have been made.

Note: The re-branding applies to Studio only. References to Content Station and Enterprise are still present in the Management Console, the Desktop application, folder names, configuration options, and so on. These will be updated in a future release.
