1. Generate Print Ready PDF Automation 

   • WoodWing Connect Recipe Name:

This automation generates a PDF for printing, stores it in a designated folder in WoodWing Assets before it is sent to the printer. 

The script first checks if the layout naming follows the required format. It then uses the Preflight Profile to validate the layout before generating the PDF. 

Once all requirements are met, it generates the PDF using the correct PDF Profile and renames the PDF according to the required naming convention required by the printer.

2. Complete (Archive) Layout Automation

   • WoodWing Connect Recipe Name:
     • Complete (Archive) Layout v2
     • Complete (Archive) Layout[CheckIn] v2

This automation generates the following files in a designated folder in WoodWing Assets:

• Cropped images of the layout
  • Includes metadata such as Publication, Issue, and Category
• XML files for each article on the layout
• Two PDF files with the required naming convention:
  • One using the High Quality profile
  • One using the Smallest File Size profile

Notes: 

• This automation is configured to skip the InDesign Server preflight check when generating the PDF files. This ensures the PDF export process is not blocked by preflight validation errors, allowing the PDFs to be generated even if the layout contains preflight issues.
• If the Issue Publication Date attached to the layout is not available, the automation will flag an error, and the process will not proceed.
