We have some important news to share regarding the support for the MadeToPrint plug-in within WoodWing Studio Cloud. The MadeToPrint plug-in, which is used for creating and sending job-tickets to MadetoPrint server for processing, has reached end of life and have been officially sunset for WoodWing Cloud.
Impact
In the WoodWing Cloud
- The MadeToPrint plug-in is discontinued and no longer supported.
- Users relying on these products for publishing workflows should transition to one of the supported replacements;
- Use Connect Webhooks and Workato combined with Axaio's web service API to integrate with MadeToPrint server.
- Use WoodWing PDF Manager + PDF Certify
On Premise
- The on-premise MadeToPrint version remains available, but is considered feature complete.
- We encourage users relying on these MadetoPrint for publishing workflows to transition to the supported replacement.
Replacements
We strongly encourage all customers to move to Connect Webhooks and Axaio’s APIs or PDF Manager. These solutions are designed to provide:
- Consistent and automated PDF generation with modern publishing requirements in mind.
- Streamlined workflows across print channels.
- Active support and ongoing updates, ensuring long-term reliability.
Workaround
For teams currently using on-premise MadeToPrint, workflows may continue to run in supported on-premise setups. However, for long-term stability and support, we recommend migrating to the WW Cloud and adopting a modernized solution.
Background
At WoodWing, we continuously review our portfolio to align with future publishing needs. MadeToPrint and Studio have served our customers well, but as workflows evolve, we are consolidating into WoodWing Connect and streamlining APIs to deliver a modern, reliable, and future-proof publishing solution.
We understand that retiring long-standing tools can be disruptive and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Our teams are ready to support you throughout this transition.
