Compatibility of WoodWing products with macOS 11 Big Sur

Dear customer,

as you probably know, Apple released macOS 11.0 Big Sur last week. For your reference, here’s a short overview of the current and future compatibility of WoodWing products with macOS 11.0.

The current compatibility of WoodWing products is fully described in the Operating systems compatibility document. This document will be updated whenever a change occurs in the compatibility with Big Sur.

The Elvis agent and Assets agent, as well as the Content Station Desktop application are compatible with macOS 11.0.

Adobe has stated that only the latest versions of most Creative Cloud apps are compatible with macOS 11 Big Sur.
From this we can confirm that WoodWing’s latest ‘2021’ releases of Assets for InDesign, Swivle for InDesign and Smart Styles are compatible with macOS 11 Big Sur. We expect to release version 16 (2021) of the Studio for InDesign and InCopy plug-ins in Q1 2021.

Notice that the 2020 plug-ins may function on macOS 11.0 Big Sur. However, since Adobe does not list this version in their system requirements, we cannot state that our tightly integrated plug-in products are 100% compatible with this latest macOS version.

Since Adobe AIR doesn’t load on macOS 11.0, our Adobe AIR-based application Content Station 9 cannot be run on Big Sur.
