Info: Performing the step described in this article requires direct access to the system on which the server is run. Depending upon how your system is hosted and the level of access you have to that system, coordination may be required with your Partner or WoodWing Support team. For a full overview of the steps that need to be done by WoodWing and how to request them, see WoodWing Cloud - Change management.
Because Spotlight is probably not used on the system on which Assets Server is installed, you can improve performance by disabling it.
Alternatively, at least exclude your Elvis Hot Data and Elvis Data folders from being indexed by Spotlight.
Disabling Spotlight
The primary method on MacOS is using launchctl, (this requires an administrative password):
sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.metadata.mds.plist
