Warning: The use of anti-virus software on the server running Assets Server can drastically impact performance and stability. Special care should be taken that assets are not quarantined.
If you have to run anti-virus software, make sure to at least exclude the Assets Server/Elvis Hot Data folder from being scanned. In some cases, concurrent reading and locking of the index files by the virus scanner can lead to index corruption.
If possible, also exclude the temp folders and the 'Elvis Server/Elvis Shared Data' folder from being scanned. This will improve performance.
