When using the Find option or the Advanced search option to search for documents to work on, you enter criteria by adding values to one or more properties.
For properties that contain text, the following wildcard can be used to easily narrow or broaden the search:

% | Represents any number of characters. |
The following table shows some examples of how the wildcard can be used and their results:
Wildcard | Description | Example |

ca% | Finds all words starting with ca, regardless of their length. | Finds cat, castle, catapult. |
%form | Finds all words ending with form. | Finds inform but not information. |
form% | Finds all words starting with form. | Finds form, formation but not information. |
%form% | Finds all words that contain form. | Finds form, formation, and information. |
in%form | Finds all words that start with in and end with form. | Finds inform, but not information. |
%in%form | Finds all words that contain in and end with form. | Finds misinform, but not information. |
