New features
The following feature has been introduced in this release of Smart Connection:
- Installer can be run silently. The Windows version of the Smart Connection installer can now be run silently via a command prompt. This method is aimed at system administrators who want to remotely control software installations.
The command consists of the following format:
msiexec.exe /i "<path to installer>" /qn ADDLOCAL=<name of plug-in to install><application ID>_PATH="<path to application>"

Note: Multiple plug-ins can be installed simultaneously. - Content Station. Layouts created in InDesign 2020 can be opened directly from Content Station. This requires Content Station 11.58 or higher.
- Elvis. Files can be placed that are stored in Elvis. This requires Elvis 6.40 or higher and the Elvis plug-in for InDesign version 3.7.1 or higher.
Changes
The following change has been made in this release of Smart Connection:
- Elvis. The functionality of updating placed files in a workflow in which Smart Connection and Elvis are used has changed in combination with the Elvis plug-in version 3.7.5 or higher (released as part of Elvis 6.44).
When choosing Smart Connection > Update All Content, all outdated files stored in Elvis, Enterprise, or elsewhere are now automatically updated. In previous versions, only outdated Enterprise files were automatically updated.

Known issues
The following known issue exists in this release of Smart Connection:
EN-92241 InCopy: Endnotes are removed on saving for an article created in InDesign and based on a Word document.
Comment: Smart Connection for Adobe 2020 does not support round-tripping endnotes in articles. Endnotes that are either created in InDesign or InCopy, or imported from a Microsoft Word file, are lost after saving them to Enterprise Server. A solution for this issue is planned for Smart Connection 15.1.0 for Adobe 2020.
