Compatibility of Studio Server 10.62

This article describes the compatibility of Studio Server 10.62 with other systems.

Use the links for more detailed information about a specific product version and its compatibility with other systems.

Operating systems

Notes:

  • The operating systems listed are valid for the Web server running Studio Server and the File Transfer Server. When the database and the Application Server run on different machines, Studio Server does not add extra restrictions to the operating system that runs the database. When both are running in the same box the choice of the operating system is limited.
  • For all operating system flavors, it is recommended to use the 64-bit version to gain better performance.
  • Verify that any software that is installed by default by the operating systems such as PHP, Web browsers, and so on is also compatible with Studio Server. Update these applications when needed.
  • The compatibility of non-WoodWing products with operating systems has not been verified; please check this separately.

Linux

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of Linux:

RedHat Linux 9 Recommended version.
RedHat Linux 8
CentOS Stream Not supported.

Windows

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of Windows:

Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Recommended version.
Microsoft Windows Server 2019  

MS SQL Server drivers

Install a compatible PHP driver version and an ODBC driver version as explained in the Microsoft documentation. Keep in mind that these two drivers have dependencies with each other and with Windows Server, SQL Server and PHP. Of these products, only pick versions that are supported by Studio Server.

macOS

Running Studio Server on macOS is not supported.

Assets Server / Elvis Server

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of Assets Server and Elvis Server:

Assets Server  
Elvis Server 6

Requires Elvis 6.40 or higher.

Requires Elvis Server 6.44 or higher when used in combination with
archiving files from Studio Server to Elvis Server.

Databases

Note: When the database and the Application Server run on different machines, Studio Server does not add extra restrictions to the operating system that runs the database. When both are running in the same box the choice of the operating system is limited, as specified for the Application Server.

Microsoft SQL

Note: To connect to Microsoft SQL Server, the Application Server must run on a Windows Server as well. This is because the database driver for Microsoft SQL Server is not maintained for MacOS and Linux.

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of Microsoft SQL:

Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Recommended version.
Microsoft SQL Server 2019  
Microsoft SQL Server 2017  

MySQL

The compatibility of Studio Server 10.62 with MySQL is as follows:

MySQL 8.4 Recommended version.
MySQL 8.0

ImageMagick

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of ImageMagick:

ImageMagick 7

ionCube Loaders

ionCube is used by Studio Server to encrypt some of its PHP modules.

Note: Do not install ionCube via the ionCube Web site. The correct version of ionCube to install is provided during the installation of Studio Server by an ionCube wizard.

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of ionCube Loader:

ionCube Loader 15.0.0 or higher.

PHP

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of PHP:

PHP 8.4

Recommended version.

Required version: 8.1.16 or higher.

Notes:

  • PHP 8.4 is not supported on Microsoft Server environments.
  • Customers using Microsoft Server will need to remain on an earlier, compatible PHP (8.2) version.
  • The timeline for Microsoft MS SQL driver support is currently unknown and outside of our control.
PHP 8.2 Required patch level: PHP 8.2.15 or higher.

RabbitMQ

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of RabbitMQ:

RabbitMQ 4.1 Recommended version.
RabbitMQ 3.13  

Smart Mover

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of Smart Mover:

Smart Mover 10

Solr

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of Solr:

Solr 9.8 Recommended version.
Solr 9.4  

Studio

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of Studio:

Studio Requires Studio 11.210 or higher.

Studio for InDesign and InCopy

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following versions of Studio for InDesign, InDesign Server, and InCopy:

Studio for InDesign and InCopy 21 for Adobe 2026 Scheduled for release Q1 2026.
Studio for InDesign and InCopy 20 for Adobe 2025  
Studio for InDesign and InCopy 19 for Adobe 2024  
Studio for InDesign and InCopy 18 for Adobe 2023

Web servers

Studio Server 10.62 can be used with the following Web Servers.

Apache 2.4 Minimum recommended version: 2.4.46 when used in combination with RHEL9.
IIS Supported is the version of IIS that is shipped with the supported version of Windows.
