Info: The described step can only be performed on the on-premise version of Studio Server, not on the cloud version.
By default, Studio for InDesign and InCopy stores layouts, articles and images in the WoodWingStudio.noindex folder. When a shared drive is used, this folder is located on that shared drive.
When a low connection speed to the shared drive exists, InDesign Server can experience performance issues. Performance can be improved by letting Studio for InDesign and InCopy save the files locally.
Do this by setting the 'UseCustomBaseFolder' option in the WWSettings.xml file for InDesign Server. This way, the WoodWingStudio.noindex folder will be created in the path as defined in the UseCustomBaseFolder option.
