Keyboard shortcuts for Assets

This article describes the keyboard shortcuts that can be used in Assets.

Notes:

  • The keyboard shortcuts can be used on Windows and on macOS, unless otherwise stated.
  • Custom keyboard shortcuts such as those for accessing Action plug-ins are not listed here.

Tip: For easy reference, any available keyboard shortcuts for a file are listed in the context menu for that file:

Alt+V Hide/show panels so that the Search results panel fits the full window.  
Alt+Shift+D Delete  
Alt+Shift+O Close the Bookmark. Requires Assets 6.79 or higher.
Alt+[number] Add a file to a Pinned Dossier 'Number' is the order number of the Dossier in the Pinned Dossiers panel.
Cmd+
double-click		 Open a previewed file in a new tab. While previewing a file, execute the shortcut.

 Select all

Selects a maximum of 1000 assets.

Note that this shortcut can be used in the Search results page and in Collections. It has been intentionally left out on other pages
because it has no functional benefit in these places:

  • The page on which shared files are viewed (Shared link)
  • The Checked-out files page
  • The page for uploading files
