This is step 3 of 3 of Exporting an InDesign layout to a Digital article in Content Station Aurora.
Info: This feature requires Content Station 11.11 or higher.
In this step, the content of the created InDesign Article is turned into a Digital article in Content Station.
Step 1. In InDesign, choose Print to Digital > Create Article.
You are asked to choose a template (applies to Content Station 11.12 or higher). This template will be used for styling the article.
Step 2. From the list, choose a template and click OK.
The article is created, uploaded to Enterprise and added to the same Dossier as the layout.
The created Digital article will use the styling of the selected Digital article template. It will also have the Brand and Category of the template assigned. (This applies to Content Station 11.12 or higher. For Content Station 11.11, the Brand and Category of the original layout is assigned.)
Step 3. (Optional) Continue working on the article in Content Station.
The text frame on the InDesign layout does not appear in the export
Make sure that the text frame is included in the InDesign Article.
After the InDesign Article is created, it can happen that additional frames are added. When these frames have content that also needs to be exported, remember to also add these frames to the InDesign Article. Do this by:
- Adding the frames manually to the InDesign Article
- Deleting the InDesign Article and generating a new one (note that you will lose any changes that you may have made to the order of the article items)
The export of the InDesign Article becomes slower every time it is executed
