Validating the WWSettings.xml file

The WWSettings.xml file is used for storing various configuration settings for Smart Connection and Content Station. Each system on which Smart Connection or Content Station is run will have a WWSettings.xml file installed (see also Where can I find the WWSettings.xml file for Smart Connection?).

Validating the file

Configuring the file can be done in any (XML) editor such as TextWrangler or Notepad++, but it is important to verify if the XML code is valid when changes have been made. Especially when URLs are configured, the risk of adding invalid characters is quite high.

Note: Other browsers, like Safari and Chrome don't accept the WWSettings.xml file due to name spaces.
