Installing the Elvis 4 Drive

Installing the Elvis DAM Drive

Note: With the discontinuation of support for Adobe Drive, the Elvis Drive has been made obsolete.

Installing Elvis Drive on your machine is very straight forward. Make sure you install Adobe Drive version 3.2 or higher before you install the Elvis Drive connector.

  • Adobe Drive 3.2 is only compatible with Adobe Creative Suite 5 and 5.5, Adobe Drive 4 is only compatible with Adobe Creative Suite 6. Running both Adobe Drive versions at the same time is not advised by Adobe. Elvis Drive is compatible with both Adobe Drive versions.
  • Adobe Drive 5.0.1 introduces support for 64-bit Windows systems. Which moves the plug-in folder.
  • When upgrading to Adobe Drive 5.0.1 or higher on a 64-bit Windows make sure that the com.dutchsoftware.elvis.drive_x.x.x.xxx.jar file was moved from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AD4ServiceManager\Plugins\ to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\AD4ServiceManager\Plugins\.

Important: Make sure to stop the "Adobe Drive Service Manager" process before moving the file.
