Introduction to using Elvis Cloud

Welcome to Elvis Cloud!

When you are a first-time user of Elvis Cloud and want to find out more about how to get started, please read the information below.

If you already know your way around, check out all Help Center articles to find out what more you can do with Elvis Cloud.

What is Elvis Cloud?

Elvis Cloud is an easy-to-use application for storing files in and retrieving files from a central location.

This is done by using the Elvis Cloud App, which comes in 2 variations:

  • The Pro client, aimed at power users who need to be able to upload and manage files.
  • The Brand portal, aimed at internal staff who need access to your archive for in-house production and reference, and external users such as resellers or press, to whom you want to provide a limited set of materials in a branded environment.

What do I need to use Elvis Cloud?

Elvis Cloud and the location where the files are stored is provided and managed by WoodWing. You therefore don't have to install any software, all you need is a compatible Web browser to access Elvis Cloud and a user name and password to use it.

To access Elvis Cloud, a subscription is required. For detailed information, see Elvis Cloud licenses.

Are any setup steps required?

When working in Elvis Cloud with multiple users, a system administrator needs to add users, optionally create user groups and grant or deny users access to specific features of Elvis Cloud (see Setting up an Elvis Cloud environment for multiple users).

How do I use Elvis Cloud?

Files are stored with the intention of using them in some way: including them in a publication, sending them out to a customer for approval, archiving them for future reference, and more.

Depending on your role, you use Elvis Cloud in one of the following ways:

As a content manager using the Pro client:

As a content consumer using the Brand portal:

About permissions: Your system administrator can control the features you can and cannot use and the files you can and cannot access. This means that you probably cannot use all features that are described here or use them on all files that are stored in the system. When in doubt, contact your system administrator.
