Content Station AIR fails to open on Mac OS X

When trying to open Content Station AIR, it won't launch.

This can happen on a Mac OS X 10.7.2 with “Automatic graphics switching” enabled. The issue has been traced to the Adobe AIR runtime.

The following have been known to resolve this issue:

  • Disable the option “Automatic graphics switching”, found in System Preferences > Energy Saver
  • Start Google Chrome or Firefox; this forces the Mac to use the discrete graphics.
