File locations
The icons are stored in the following location:
<Enterprise Server path>/Enterprise/config/images/pubchannelicons
Note: Icons for other Publication Channels such as those for Facebook, WordPress and Twitter are provided separately in their respective folders, namely in <Enterprise Server path>Enterprise/config/plugins/<plugin name>/pubchannelicons.
Changing the default icons
To change a default icon, simply replace it while taking care to use the same file format, image dimensions and file name.
Using dedicated icons for individual Publication Channels
Instead of changing the default icons for all Publication Channels of that type, you can also use a dedicated icon for individual Publication Channels.
Step 1. Obtain the ID of the Publication Channel for which you want to use the icon.
Step 1a. Access the Publication Channel Maintenance page.
Step 1b. Verify the channel id in the address bar of the Web browser. The required number is listed after &channelid=.
Example: Here, the Publication Channel ID = 6 http://localhost/Enterprise/server/admin/editChannel.php?publid=2&channelid=6 |
Step 2. Access the following folder:
<Enterprise Server path>/Enterprise/config/images/pubchannelicons
Step 3. Add an image that conforms to the following rules:
- The file format is .png.
- The file name is in one of the following formats:
{channelid}_{dimension size}.png
or
{channel type}_{dimension size}.png
where {channelid} is the id obtained in step 1, {channel type} is the type as defined on the Publication Channel Maintenance page and {dimension size} is one of the following sizes in pixels:
- 16x16
- 24x24
- 32x32
Example 1: An image in a size of 16x16 pixels used for a Publication Channel with ID=5 results in the following file name: 5_16x16.png Example 2: An image in a size of 32 pixels used for a Publication Channel of type “print” results in the following file name: print_32x32.png |
