Managing admin users in Elvis Cloud

Managing admin users in Elvis Cloud

When someone signs up for an Elvis Cloud account, that person is at that moment the only user and thereby automatically the administrator of Elvis Cloud. As a result, only this person can invite users, set their permissions, customize the way Elvis Cloud looks, and so on.

From a technical point of view, it also means that the e-mail address that was used for signing up to Elvis Cloud cannot be used for signing up to another system such as Inception.

Once additional users have been added, more users can be given the administrator role and current administrators can be made regular users.

This can be useful in the following situations:

  • The e-mail address that was used for signing up needs to be made available for use in a different system
  • More and/or other users need be given the role of administrator

Required licenses

For each user who acts as an administrator, a Content Manager license is required (unless Elvis Cloud is used in the trial period). Make sure a sufficient number of licenses is (temporarily) available before starting.

Before you start

Before making other users admin, please be aware that they can make changes to all aspects of Elvis Cloud, including:

  • Subscriptions
  • Elvis Cloud setup
  • User management
